The Ware Institute for Civic Engagement at Franklin & Marshall College has coordinated the first ever Winter Alternative Break trip to the Heritage Academy in Ghana for the Winter of 2012.
Franklin & Marshall College is a four-year private national liberal arts college located in Lancaster, PA, United States. F&M is the home of the Ware Institute for Civic Engagement and a partner with the Heritage Academy in Ghana.

Mission: Founded on the belief that a commitment to purposeful civic engagement is central to a liberal arts education, the Ware Institute for Civic Engagement serves as F&M’s hub for identifying and sustaining community partnerships that address real needs. Acting in this capacity, the Institute builds relationships with community partners, supports student-led service initiatives and collaborates with faculty in community-based-learning coursework.
