Bravo! Keep up the great work. Many years ago, when I made a flippant “macho male” remark in college, the Dean of Women said to me; “Robert, some day you may marry and have daughters. Remember, if you educate a woman, you’ll educate a family.” We have three daughters. And she was right!

In 1895, Alfred Nobel woke up in Paris, only to read his obituary: “Dynamite King Dead.” It wasn’t Alfred who died, but a distant cousin. He was devastated — what a legacy. He returned toSweden, and gave the bulk of his estate to establish the Nobel Prize in the five categories we know today.
Norma Eliscu’s (Class of 1951) father, Frank (Heisman trophy sculptor), once told me everyone wants a life that includes a sense of meaning and purpose. They care deeply for the well-being of others and want to leave behind a world better than the one they found. Frank didn’t want to just take up space on this great earth. He wanted to make a contribution – a difference! We should never lose sight of that. Everyone, even in a small way, can make a difference — perhaps not like Nobel or Eliscu, but a difference — even if it’s only a few bucks.
